I initially joined CrossFit SoChac about a year ago as a way to lose weight and get healthy.  Intimidated is the best way to describe what I felt trying something so new, but through the process of starting crossfit I have learned so much more about myself, my body and my inner drive.  I love that the programming not only motivates me to get to the 5:15am class every weekday morning, but that I actually enjoy working out now!  And at SoChac we are lucky to have some of the best coaches who care, motivate, correct, encourage and push me when I need it the most.

Back in April I started working on my nutrition goals with Amanda.  Since that time I have lost 50 pounds.  I am the healthiest I have been in years and the strongest I have ever been.  Nutrition paired with crossfit has been life changing, not only physically, but also mentally.  I have a purpose/drive to push myself both in the gym and outside of it, to be a better, healthier person for myself and those around me.

With a new year on the horizon, I keep looking back on how far I have come in just a year.  I am so thankful I took that first step a year ago and signed up.  I am so lucky to have found a supportive, kick-ass community of coaches and fellow athletes.  My 2021 goal is to keep improving and to continue showing up for myself.
